Born in Beirut and raised in Toronto, Reeves began acting in playhouse productions and in television films before making his character cloud introduction in Youngblood (1986). He had his breakthrough character in the branch fiction comedy Tab & Ted's Supreme Imperil (1989), and he later reprised his position in its sequels. He gained praise for playing a hustler in the independent theatre My Own Clandestine Idaho (1991), and established himself as an conduct hero with pre-eminent roles in Stage Break (1991) and Speed (1994).
